About Me

Rachel Hoar is an accomplished equestrian with over 17 years of riding and competitive experience. Originally from Vermont, she began riding at the age of seven and has successfully competed through the Preliminary level in eventing.

Over the years, Rachel has had the privilege of riding and working with renowned professionals such as Dom Schramm, John Bourgoin, Meika Decher, and others. These experiences have provided her with a well-rounded foundation in competition, training, and horsemanship.

Rachel earned her degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where she began developing her skills as both a trainer and instructor. Now based in Lake Stevens, Washington, she offers comprehensive training for both horse and rider. Her program emphasizes patience, strong fundamentals, and building a lasting partnership between horse and rider, starting from the ground up.

Currently, Rachel is also expanding her knowledge through the study of natural horsemanship, which she has found to be an invaluable tool in creating a solid foundation and deeper understanding between horse and rider.

While she continues to pursue her own competitive goals, Rachel is equally dedicated to supporting the growth and success of her clients. She is actively working toward her Equestrian Coach Program (ECP) certification and is committed to ongoing professional development through continued education and training opportunities.
